"The Beginning"

The Blood Holders history takes place in a parallel reality where 99% of the population have become zombies due to an extremely contagious airborne virus. The remaining 1% were affected by this virus much more slowly, causing them to not immediately transform into zombies. These people began to be called "Holders".

In the midst of this chaos, an organization called Alive appeared, which began to offer doses of blood that, once injected, significantly increased the time that the Holders could remain human. Alive began selling these doses for $BLOOD, a cryptocurrency obtained by Holders for performing missions and killing zombies for the organization. The Holders also use $BLOOD as a currency of exchange as conventional money has since fallen out of use. Different settlements were quickly established around the Alive business complex, dividing the Holders into different social statuses according to the type of housing and the distance they lived from the organization. Through the various expeditions the Holders realized that the further they went on their missions they found that what was left of civilisation was more infected, thus encountering more dangerous types of zombies and making survival much more difficult.

Among the Holders themselves began to develop a rivalry and competition to see who was able to get more $BLOOD. Alive decided to develop a virtual reality environment where the Holders could compete without hurting each other. In addition to team battles or 1 vs 1 challenges, the best known event is the "Battle Royale", where for an entry fee in $BLOOD Holders fight on a battlefield until only 1 is left, with the first places being the most financially rewarded.

Although the future for all is uncertain, Alive and the Holders are not giving up on finding a definitive cure for this disease. The only possible option is to follow rumors that in the farthest reaches of civilization, where no Holder has yet been, lies the Infected Zero. It is said that he was the first human to be infected and the only one from whom it would be possible to extract a possible cure.
